Fuel Surcharges still high for Qantas, Emirates and Singapore Airlines

Qantas Airways, Emirates and Singapore Airlines face renewed calls to lower their much-maligned fuel surcharges on international flights following a sustained drop in oil prices over the past year.

Four months after vowing to “gradually restructure” its tariffs, Qantas’ fuel surcharges still amount to $570 on a return economy ticket from Australia to London and $1080 for business class.
